GREEN BAY, Wis (WSAU) The Green Bay Packers agreed to a contract extension with cornerback Tramon Williams this week. His agent confirmed the news yesterday. Williams is a fourth year player out of Louisiana Tech and became a full-time starter last year when Al Harris went down with a knee injury. Terms of the deal were not disclosed althought the Journal-Sentinel is reporting its worth more than $33-million and runs through 2014.
The Packers also place two more players on the injured reserve ending their seasons. Linebacker Brandon Chillar and tight end Spencer Havner were both injured in the game with Atlanta. Chillar hurt his shoulder and Havner re-injured his hamstring. The Packers now have 13 players on IR.
