NEW YORK (Reuters) - Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani may have been tough on crime, but on Wednesday his daughter was arrested in the city for shoplifting from an upscale beauty store.
Caroline Giuliani, a 20-year-old Harvard University student, was arrested on Manhattan's Upper East Side after she was accused of shoplifting from Sephora beauty store, police said.
Caroline Giuliani hit the headlines in 2007 after it was reported that she might support Democrat Barack Obama in the 2008 presidential election over her father, who was then campaigning to become the Republican presidential candidate.
Giuliani rose to international prominence as mayor of New York for his handling of the city after hijacked airliners were flown into the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.
