MADISON, Wis. (WTAQ) - Wednesday is Workers’ Memorial Day – and a ceremony will be held at the State Capitol to remember those who’ve been killed or injured on the job. Jim Schultz, director of the Wisconsin Committee on Occupational Safety and Health, will speak at the ceremony along with state AFL CIO president David Newby.
According to a union report, 77 people died in job-related hazards in Wisconsin in 2008. And over 93,000 people were injured in work-related mishaps.
