NEW YORK (Reuters) - The Green Bay Packers have brought running back Ahman Green back to the club as a replacement for the injured DeShawn Wynn, the NFL team said on Wednesday.
Green played seven seasons with the Packers from 2000 to 2006 before moving to Houston but he was currently without a team.
The move allows Green a chance to become the franchise's all-time leading rusher as he needs 46 yards to surpass Jim Taylor's record of 8,207 yards.
The Packers said Wynn had been placed on injured reserve.
