GREEN BAY, Wis. (WTAQ) - We're learning more about a fire at the Georgia-Pacific mill on Day Street. Fire crews fought the flames early Tuesday into Wednesday morning after being called back to the scene. Lt. Chris Heil says the fire began near a specialty paper machine which had been recently shutdown before it began Tuesday night. Heil indicates total damage is far less than the initial estimate of several million dollars. Employees worked feverishly to get the machine back up and running, which Heil insists could be in just a couple of days. The fire remains under investigation. Heil though doesn't think it was intentionally set despite layoffs at the mill being revealed just hours before it started.
