DETROIT (Z965 ALT RADIO) -- Inventors, makers and hackers will descend on Lincoln Street Art Park in downtown Detroit this evening to kick-off 2014s Red Bull Creation competition. 7 teams were selected as finalists to compete in the 72-hour competition wrapping up on Saturday July 12th.
The public is encouraged to marvel at the competitors work as they grind, weld and craft their way through this years secret topic.
The root of the Creation competition revolves around the unveiling of the secret topic as finalists compete to win the competition based on their concepts. This years secret topic is rumored to have a community progress theme. The word from local speculation has it that Detroit was picked by Red Bull as the host of this years event by no accident. Detroit has a lively underground art scene that continues to cultivate regardless of the citys descent into decay.
