Tonight's YAH er NO performed on SNL this weekend and TORE IT UP!!!! They also played as part of the NBA All star game.  

Alabama Shakes earned three Grammy nominations in 2012: Best New Artist, Best Rock Performance for "Hold On" and Best Recording Package for "Boys & Girls." They lost all three, but it's a good start for a young career.  

You've likely heard Alabama Shakes even if you didn't realize it, as their song "You Ain't Alone" off their 2011 EP "Alabama Shakes" was used in a Zales jewelry commercial:

Their song "Always Alright" (which they performed during "SNL") was written for the "Silver Linings Playbook" soundtrack.
