New Jersey voters are supporting a proposed law that would require dog owners to put their animal in a safety restraint or crate when in the car.
A recent poll shows that 45 percent of registered voters in the state support the law, with 40 percent opposing it.
The bill would require that pets travel in a crate or be restrained by a harness, with violators subject to a $20 ticket and possible animal cruelty charges.
The poll also found that Democrats are much more likely to support it than Republicans, with 51 percent of Democrats saying they will support the law compared to just 36 percent of Republicans.
So....yah er no on this?
