WOMAN SAYS HER SECURITY SCREEN WAS LIKE A SEXUAL ASSAULT

No one seems to be too thrilled about the new TSA security screenings, but one woman is comparing it to sexual assault.

She was flying home from St. Louis to Chicago when her knees set off the detectors-- she has metal plates in her knees, and when she asked if she could just go through a body scanner, the agents said there were none available. She had to go through a pat down.

The woman said a TSA agent's gloved hands went between her breasts, touched them, and then inserted her hands between her underwear and skin. The woman claims the agent patted her genitals.

She said she feels that if she wouldn't have given the permission for the pat down, it would have been sexual harrassment. She left the room shaking and crying.

The national office is now dealing with many complaints from the invasive pat-downs, but there is no law or regulation that governs scanners or pat-downs.

The TSA says that anyone who sets off the detectors is required to go through a physical pat-down, but it is less invasive for kids under 12.

The government is currently adding more body scanners across the country.

The Transportation Security Administration is warning that people who refuse to go through the airport scanners or a pat-down may be fined up to $11,000 or be arrested. 

Anyone who refuses the scan or the search will not be allowed to fly and also will not be permitted to simply leave the airport.

The person will be questioned by the TSA or cops and won’t be allowed to leave until it is determined that they aren’t a threat.
