If there was ever a time to roll up their sleeves, it's now for the Green Bay Packers.  Smarting from the Meadowlands humbling, the December drive begins with at least from the perspective of the fans, the most despised of the NFC North rivals coming to Lambeau Sunday in the Minnesota Vikings.  The Division pecking order is straightforward, the 8-3 Chicago Bears are home to Seattle, the Pack is at 7-4 and the Vikes arrive at 6-5.  Four of the five remaining opponents for the Packers are division opponents and three of the five are at home.  To a man, the guys have said all week, it's right there in front of us, playoff destiny as the cliche goes, is in their hands.  The big question remains, will it slip through their fingers?  It could because the expected injured calvary is not arriving on cue.  Sure, Greg Jennings will make his first appearance in a month on Sunday, but Clay Matthews is at least a week away, the same for Charles Woodson and Cedric Benson won't arrive at all, placed on season ending injured reserve Thursday.  Couple that with the fact the Vikings are perhaps on their last breath.  After losing in Chicago last week, the braided invaders can not afford to fall two games back of two teams with the return engagement against Chicago coming next week at the Metrodome.  A team with Adrian Peterson in the backfield is always dangerous. He has been nothing short of remarkable this year coming off major reconstructive knee surgery.  A league leading 1236 yards, 5.8 a pop and seven touchdowns.  Even head coach Leslie Frazier called him amazing.  The other serious threat on offense is still iffy, Percy Harvin has already missed two games with a high ankle sprain and while he's practiced on a limited basis this week, he might not be ready to return.  Young Christian Ponder is a nice quarterback, but he's a long ways from being a polished signal caller.   His numbers this year are merely average and without his leading receiver, has had a hard time coming up with big plays.  The Vikings on defense can still be stingy.  They held the 49ers and Lions to 13 points each in back to back victories in September.  They have front line players at every level in defensive end Jared Allen, linebacker Chad Greenway and defensive back Antoine Winfield.  Yet for some reason, Aaron Rodgers has had his way against this unit.  In the last three games against Minnesota, Rodgers has put up a quarterback rating north of 140.  He completed nearly 76 percent of his passes for 886 yards, 11 touchdowns and was interception free in those games.  Getting Jennings back will be a boost as the Packers try to solve the troublesome cover 2 defense they've regularly been facing.  Quick routes and yards after the catch are Greg's forte.   It's been two weeks shy of two years since Green Bay has lost back to back games, they've won 17 of their last 18 at Lambeau, 23 of their last 25 home games.  It won't be easy but make it 18 of 19, I like the Pack to hit 8-4 and say see you next year Minnesota with a 27-21 victory.  On the link below, comments from Mike McCarthy and the guys on how they see the Black and Blue showdown against the Purple People Eaters is what will be a colorful December afternoon.
