Packers Tailgate Tour time

Like most NFL fans, I'm in the "wake me when it's over" camp regarding the NFL lockout.  I could keep you abreast of all the legal brief filings before the U.S. 8th Circuit Court of Appeals, offer updates on players working out at high school fields, but what's the use.  Fans only want to know when a collective bargaining agreement is either negotiated or court ordered and football will be on.  Are they really concerned if the league brings in the World Anti-Doping agency to conduct their urine tests for performance enchancing drugs and possibly for the first time, human growth hormone?  Didn't think so.                                                                              This off-season has really dampened the enthusiasm over the Packers Super Bowl XLV title but a celebratory party is rolling out of Lambeau Field today.  The Green Bay Packers annual Tailgate Tour bus is gassed up and heading north.  President and CEO Mark Murphy will be joined by Matt Flynn, Desmond Bishop and Josh Sitton along with Super Bowl 31 champs Gilbert Brown, Dorsey Levens and Antonio Freeman, plus NFL Hall of Famers Forrest Gregg and Jim Taylor.  First stop is Marquette, Michigan tonight, then across the top of the state to Ashland, zipping down to Eau Claire by Thursday, into Wausau at Marathon Park on Friday and it wraps up with a unique stop at old City Stadium at Green Bay East high school on Saturday.   Money raised at each stop benefits a variety of charities.  The feel good pep rallies should take the bitterness away from a sour off-season, at least for a week.
