Crosby signs

The Packers have locked up place kicker Mason Crosby with a new, five year contract extension.  ESPN first reported the deal and head coach Mike McCarthy confirmed it for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel this morning.  According to the Journal, Crosby's contract is worth 14.75 million dollars with three million dollars guaranteed.   A 6th round pick out of Colorado in 2007, Crosby has accounted for 509 points in his first four years, second most in league history behind New England's Stephen Gostkowski's 513. .  He's made 107 of his 137 field goal tries, goof for 78.1 percent.   Crosby had a career low 4 touchbacks on kickoffs last season.
