Practice week wraps up

All that's left for the Pack is a final walk through tomorrow morning, board the plane and head to Atlanta for the NFC Divisional Playoff game with the Falcons Saturday night.  There were only a couple of alterations to the injury report on Thursday, the only downgrade was Ryan Pickett who went from full to limited with his ankle sprain.  Mike McCarthy said it's nothing to get alarmed about, on a short practice week, some of the big guys or older veterans throttled it down a bit.  Atari Bigby was a full particiipant and there's a chance he'll be on the field to help in run support against Michael Turner, a good idea.

If there's one Packers player who knows Falcon quarterback Matt Ryan pretty well, it's former Boston College teammate B.J.Raji.  I visited with B.J. after practice for a while and asked him if the seemingly unflappalbe third year pro bowler can get rattled?  While at BC, Raji said poor execution at practice would frustrate him but during games, he always kept it together.  That's not to say a few solid hits, a couple of pocket flushings and forcing high pressure third and long situations won't rattle him, Raji says that'll do the trick against any quaerback.

Conrgats to Clay Matthews, named Wednesday night as the Sporting News NFL Defensive player of the year.  Second year in a row a Packer won this honor, Charles Woodson swept virtually every defensive player of the year award in 2009.

I'll have a final matchup breakdown on the game along with a host of player quotes on the keys to the game on Friday.
