If Aaron Rodgers wakes up Friday morning with a clear head, he'll be on the field Sunday for the Packers against the Miami Dolphins. Rodgers was given medical clearance to practice today and he did so on a limited basis. After the workout, Rodgers met reporters to say he feels very optimistic about playing a week after suffering a concussion against the Washington Redskins. Rodgers said on Monday he felt very sluggish after what he believes was the first true concussion of his career. He realized the neccessity of taking part in the new, strict, league rules about seeing an independent physican and passing a series of brain function tests to receive clearance to play. Rodgers said the tests aren't easy, even for the clear of mind and he appreciated the procedure's importance. Mike McCarthy said the final call on any player dealing with injury is made on Friday but all indications point toward Rodgers making his 38th consecutive start.
Several other players remain questions marks. Clay Matthews, Ryan Pickett and Mark Tauscher did not participate for a second straight day. Brandon Chillar had a setback with his sore shoulder and did not work, nor did Mike Neal who may also have suffered a shoulder injury against Washington and after practicing Wednesday, had it act up. Donald Lee made progress with his chest sprain and if he practices Friday, there's a good chance he'll be able to play.
