GRAND CHUTE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Two people were taken into custody after the stolen vehicle they were in hit two squad cars.
The Grand Chute Police Department located the stolen vehicle, reported by the Oshkosh Police Department, parked in a parking lot of the 2500 block of W. College Avenue.
Police say when officers tried to take the suspects into custody, the vehicle accelerated in reverse striking one squad car.
Authorities say the vehicle then tried to go forward and hit the second squad car.
The driver was arrested and is being recommended for several charges, according to Grand Chute Police. The passenger was released.
No one was injured in the incident.
