I finally feel like a bride!

(fyi- i took the crown off immediately after the picture :))

So I got the call a few days ago that my dress is finally in! They let me know I could come and visit it anytime I want, and I finally did for the first time this week. After putting on my dress I finally feel like a bride! Putting on the dress gave me butterflies in my stomach. Normally I would share details of the dress with you, even perhaps put up a picture, but since Michael is an avid reader of my blog, I can't. I want to keep some of the details of the wedding a surprise :)

The whole looking for a dress was something I was dreading, but thanks to my mom and sisters, they made it much better! First of all, I hate shopping. Hate it. I am the type of person that goes into a store, know what I want, and leave. So the thought of spending an ENTIRE day just trying on dresses was nauseating to me. And something I was worried about was, hey I am not a size 2. I didn't think there would be a ton of selection, and I would spend the day wishing I could fit into those size 2 dresses. Can I just tell you- that is not the case anymore. The selection in ALL sizes is unbelievable! If you are self conscious or concerned about sizing, email me at katie.marx@wixx.com and I will tell you everywhere I went. Every place I went to had great staff, service, etc. Anyways, my sisters knew I was dreading this. They wanted to make this day as special as they could. They picked me up bright and early- and I felt awful, because of course I was complaining. I was so confused at why they were picking me up to take me to Green Bay at 8 am when my appointment wasn't even until 10 am.

So my mom and sister picked me up and we trekked to Green Bay to pick up my other sister. Well, the reason we had to go early is they were taking me for mani/pedis. The best part was the place wasn't even open. They had called and asked them to open early for me- and they obliged! So we had the entire place to ourselves! Not only that- my sisters had a picnic packed- full with mimosas, fruit, etc. Then they had presents for me! How I love presents :) My mom crafted me some super cute white flip flops, they got me a charm for my pandora bracelet (it is en engagement ring), and unfortunately a feather boa and crown. The crown and boa lasted about six minutes. I was done after that. It definitely set an awesome tone for the rest of the day! Dare I say, I enjoyed myself.

So a big thank you to my mom and sisters for spoiling me like they always do and making me feel beautiful! Maids of honors, take note- this is how you be a maid of honor :)
