James Jones Offers 2 Packers Tickets to the highest bidder to benefit the

 New Community Shelter Meal Program

James & Tamika Jones and their Love Jones 4 Kids Foundation, supports the meal

program that last year served more than 3,100 children from the community and

more than 103,000 meals in 2010.  The New Community Shelter serves dinner 365

days-a-year to anyone in the community that is hungry, and lunch every weekend

and holiday.  Many young families or single parent families participate in the

program to help supplement a stretched budget in a tough economy.

 Murphy, Maino and Katie in the Morning on 101 WIXX have offered to help Jones

raise money by conducting a auction all day on Thursday, January 20.  Persons

interested in bidding on the tickets can listen to WIXX beginning at 5 AM on and

conclude at 5PM with the winner being announced on the Breakfast with the Boys

Show with James Jones, Murphy and Maino.  All proceeds will be in honor of James

Jones to the New Community Shelter. 

  “This donation will be a tremendous help to our Community Meal Program,” said

Terri Refsguard, Executive Director.  “James faced many challenges as he grew up,

now it is important for him and Tamika to help people less fortunate – especially

kids.  Our Community Meal Program served more than 103,000 meals last year, and

noted more than a 12% increase in the number of children eating every day at the

shelter.  The New Community Shelter is honored to be associated with James &

Tamika, and very thankful to WIXX for their hand in helping us raise money.  I hope

people realize how truly thoughtful James is to help us as he prepares for such a

huge game."
