A local news site spoke to one teen who says she was injured after using the hair product and applying heat when styling. Jasmine Davis of West Helena, Arkansas was just 13 when she was injured after using Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Anti Frizz Serum and then applying a comb heated on a burner to her hair.
Davis says she was disfigured by resultant burns to her head, neck, and face. In a suit brought by her family alleging that the hair product fire risk was not disclosed by the company, Davis seeks punitive damages as well as compensation for medical expenses.
