CCTV footage shows how a bungling robber removed his balaclava and fell over while attempting to make his escape from an Oxfordshire newsagents.

James Allan's failed raid on Martin's newsagent in Northcourt Road, Abingdon took place on 2 March.

Ten days earlier, the 29-year-old, of no fixed abode, had tried to rob the same shop.

Police released the video after he was given two years at Oxford Crown Court on Thursday for the first robbery.
