Posted by Corey Carter on

I'm a fan of many different types of music, so I'm excited to have a real Hip-Hop show coming to Green Bay in a few weeks.  I know we hear a LOT from WIXX listeners about the lack of hip-hop concerts in this area, so check THIS out...as WIXX is proud to welcome GORILLA ZOE and NAPPY ROOTS:  June 4th at Brown County Arena!!

Rapper, Gorilla Zoe, is an Atlanta Rapper who was formerly part of the Boyz N da Hood group. He boasts a raspy voice, slow flows and simple rhymes. His first solo album, Welcome to the Zoo was released in October of 2007, which peaked at #18 on the Billboard Top 200, #3 on Top Rap Albums, and #8 on Top R&B Albums. His newest album “King Kong” is set to release June 2011.

Nappy Roots is an American alternative Southern Southern rap quintet that originated from students attending school in Bowling Green, Kentucky in 1995 and is best known for its hit single “Awnaw.” Since their independent album was released in 1999 the group created a multi-platinum selling album “Watermelon, Chicken & Gritz”.
