How Was Your Day Today?

by Bryan Scott

We have a routine at dinner time at our house. We call it "Sucks & Sweets." We go around the table and share our biggest suck (the worst part of our day) and our sweet (the best part of our day). It's a great way to spark conversation at the dinner table when kids don't always want to share their day.

Lately though, the conversations have been going like this...

Parents: What was your sweet of the day?

Kids: School.

Parents: What part of school?

Kids: Everything.

We've been trying to come up with different ways to spark conversation with the kids... and each other! Then, my wife stumbled upon the following blog...

Save your Relationships: Ask the Right Questions

This is a must-read by blogger and best-selling author, Glennon Doyle Melton.

We are going to try this approach to asking meaningful questions. I'll let you know how it works!
