If you're going to call 911, get it together Posted January 30, 2012 by Otis Day

I know it's tough, but when you have to call 911, you need someone who can listen to the operator and follow directions. I understand it's a tough time...but if you can't do that, then find someone who can.

And 911 operators....what the heck? How do you spend the first minute or two of this call just trying to figure out what damn zone to send help from? And why so rude to the caller? The one operator repeats the phrase about "stop asking me questions and spell it" line...no need to waste time telling the caller she's an idiot...just get the damn info! This whole call makes me angry, on both sides!

The Demi Moore 911 call was released Friday.

There were multiple people there with her that night, including her 23-year-old daughter Rumer Willis. The 911 operator patiently talks to a few different people, two of whom direct questions to someone in the room they call "Ru," which is Rumer's nickname.

The caller says Demi smoked something that was not marijuana. (Some have speculated it was salvia.) They describe her as semi-conscious, and it's mentioned that she is convulsing and "burning up."

A friend on the line states that it was accidental, and, when asked if Demi has done this before, the friend says, "I don't know, there's been some stuff recently that we're all just finding out."

The L.A. City Attorney recommended that all references to whip-its be edited out of the Demi Moore 911 tape.

The Deputy City Attorney felt it would be an invasion of privacy if that information was released to the public, so it was cut out of the tape, along with specific references to other drugs.

Ready to feel old? Posted January 24, 2012 by Otis Day

I tried to explain to my kids that records were before cassettes. They asked me what cassettes were...I explained they were before CD's. They asked me what CD's were...I told them to shut up.

By the way, after watching this a few times, I kind of think it's fake. She seems a bit like she's 'acting.' What do you think?

13-year-old girl Athena Scalzi is completely fascinated by the LP and has no clue what it's for or what it does.

Her father, John Scalzi, has to explain that it plays music.

She says, "This is huge. It's like 10 CDs in one.

Her dad tells her that it only has 10 or 15 songs on it.

Jim Carrey's daughter trys out on American Idol Posted January 23, 2012 by Otis Day

She's going...uh, back to Hollywood? I kind of assume she's been there a few times before.

Jim Carrey's 24-year-old daughter got special treatment on "American Idol."

Sources say Jane Carrey didn't have to camp out or wait for hours like the rest of the contestants. The source said she basically had an appointment and showed up.

The judges liked Jane's performance, and she advanced to Hollywood.

Katy Perry goes acoustic for "The One That Got Away" Posted January 17, 2012 by Otis Day

Katy Perry is trying to break a record, and her record company will do just about anything to get it. She's a few hundreds plays away from having her sixth number one song off a single album...if she does it, she'll be the first person in history to have 6 number 1's off a single album.

The problem is Bruno Mars "It Will Rain" and Flo Rida "Good Feeling" are doing very well, and could keep her at number 2. So...she's now released an acoustic version of "The One That Got Away"(a few weeks ago she also remixed a version with B.O.B. trying to get the urban stations to play it too.)
