Seattle tops a list of "Chill Cities," as the most comfortable place in the nation to spend the summer.
A research firm (Sperling's BestPlaces) found that Seattle's mild temperatures, cool nights and low humidity helped it reach the top of the list.
Seattle was followed by Portland, Oregon, and San Francisco.
Other cities to make the summer comfort list included Denver; San Jose, California; Buffalo, N.Y.; Salt Lake City; Milwaukee; Detroit; and Pittsburgh.
** The top "Sizzling Cities", or those with the worst heat and humidity without cool nights, included Phoenix, Las Vegas and Dallas.
