I’m six!

The NRA has given a lifetime membership to the 8-year-old Baltimore kid who was suspended for fashioning his Pop Tart into a gun.  I thought the funniest part of the original story was the fact that the kid, Josh Welch (who was 7 at the time of the “incident” ), wasn’t even trying to make a gun.  He thought he had made a mountain.

“It was already a rectangle, and I just kept on biting it and biting it and tore off the top and it kinda looked like a gun but it wasn’t,” Welch told Fox Baltimore at the time his suspension. “All I was trying to do was turn it into a mountain.”

Murphy made the comment, “Kids can’t even be kids anymore.”  It made me think of the skit with Jonah Hill as the 6-year-old:
