I had no idea all those years I drove the Festival Foods shopping cart that I probably set a world record many times over. A UK man has beaten his own Guinness world record by riding a jet-propelled
shopping cart at 45mph, setting a new world record. Matt McKeown built his
record-breaking contraption after finding the shopping cart in a ditch and
fitting it with a jet engine and go-kart wheels. He used a modified second-hand
Chinook helicopter starter engine to power the shopping trolley, which has been
stabilized with go-kart wheels. That's it? The record is 45 mph? With a helicopter engine? Seems kind of lame doesn't it?
