Lock The Fridge...or else...

by Corey Carter

Not sure if this is common with all toddlers, but with our twin boys (and with Jenna a few years ago) we can't open the refrigerator without having both boys INSTANTLY flock to the fridge...with their hands EVERYWHERE grabbing anything they can.

I think they almost think it's a game.   We then pull them out of the half-open fridge, they usually have something in their hands...sometimes a yogurt...sometimes a bottle of salad dressing from the door...and sometime an apple.  Even though we have to grab it out of their hands (which results in a brief tantrum by both...) sometimes we're not quick enough.  Case and point:

I had to smile when I opened my lunch and noticed something I hadn't when I put my apple into my lunch that morning.  The apple had been a "victim" of a hungry 20-month old.  It was actually pretty cute and made me smile.  If you have toddlers...you've probably been here and this will make you smile.  If not, then my kids are unusually obsessed with food.  Uh oh....
