  • RGIII jersey sets an NFL Record

    Posted by Otis Day

Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III has the top selling jersey in the NFL and set a record for most jerseys sold in a year.

RG3's No. 10 jersey was the top selling NFL jersey from April 1, 2012 to March 1, 2013 and it set a new record for most jerseys sold in a year… breaking the old mark set by Brett Favre's Minnesota Vikings jersey in 2009.

Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning had the second most selling jersey while Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis was third.

San Francisco 49ers rookie quarterback Colin Kaepernick was fourth and New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady finished fifth.

    arrest pic

A Colorado woman was so angry that her boyfriend would not stop singing that catchy "Thrift Shop" song that she allegedly choked and pushed him.

The 23-year-old woman was celebrating her boyfriend's birthday and had been drinking with him when they started fighting over him drinking all of the alcohol.

The suspect claims that she asked him to stop singing the song about 25 times before she "grabbed him around the throat."

She admitted that she "did it for intimidation," and was arrested for harassment and domestic violence.

Virgin America was the best US airline last year-- while United was the worst.

Researchers based the annual rankings on US Department of Transportation figures including customer complaints, lost luggage and flights arriving on schedule.

Virgin America topped the list thanks to low customer complaints and having the best baggage handling rate… 0.87 mishandled bags per 1,000 passengers.

United (earned?) scored the highest complaint rate.

    Sara and the WIXX Crew

Sara Bareilles won't be returning to the fourth season of NBC's "The Sing-Off". She wants to "focus on her music."

Bareilles joined the team on Season 3 after Nicole Scherzinger jumped over to Fox's "The X Factor." Last month, NBC announced "The Sing-Off" will return for a fourth season.

Bareilles recently announced she will be touring an 18-city tour to promote her new album, which is expected to drop this spring.

  • Angry woman + spraypaint = Revenge

    Posted by Otis Day

A woman got revenge on her cheating boyfriend by spray-painting "cheater" and "liar" across his car.

The woman also punctured all four tires on the vehicle and smashed the rear window as part of her revenge.

No word if the woman was arrested for causing the damage.

  • Pretty soon you won't be able to get Pork Chops in America

    Posted by Otis Day

    steak

The US meat industry is renaming 350 cuts to help make shopping less confusing.

Pork chops will be replaced with "porterhouse chops," "ribeye chops" and "New York chops" while the pork butt will be called a "Boston roast."

I'm sure this will clear everything up...especially for people who have gotten used to calling pork chops pork chops. Changing the name to porterhouse chops shouldn't cause any confusion to anyone.

The new retail names will also come with new labels for retail packages, which will tell consumers what part of the animal's body the cut comes from, as well as include suggested cooking instructions.

The revised names come after two years of consumer research which found that the labels on packages of fresh cuts of pork and beef are confusing to shoppers.

  • Say "Buh-bye" men!

A scientist has predicted that men will go extinct in five million years. I read this crazy storey on dailymail.co.uk

The experts say the female, or X, chromosome, contains around 1,000 genes, and females have two of them.

Meanwhile the male, or Y chromosome, started off with as many genes as its female counterpart: But it has crumbled away over hundreds of millions of years, leaving fewer than 100 genes in modern man.

And this includes the SRY gene which determines whether an embryo is male or female.

The scientist says this will lead to males becoming extinct.

  • The least sexy city in America is...

    Posted by Otis Day

According to an article in upi.com, clients of a travel and dating website have ranked which cities in the US are the least sexy.

In terms of 'hook ups', these cities were chosen the 'least'.

    RESULTS:

Greensboro, North Carolina is the least sexy.

The website released its list of the most often rejected cities for destination dates by its members -- showing Greensboro has been rejected 100 percent of the time in 170 trip offers.

Rounding out the top 5 on the not-so-sexy scale are Richmond, Virginia, Fort Worth, Texas, Beverly Hills, California, and Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Atlantic City, Jacksonville, Atlanta, Corpus Christi and Minneapolis were also found to be unsexy.
