  • He's not interested or is he?

    Posted by Rachel Leigh

I know I personally had trouble figuring out if a guy is interested in me or not. Well, I should say ones you like because women know when a guy is trying TOO hard.

I came across this article about 5 Ways To Know If A Guy Is Interested In You.

1.) Read his body language: Is he leaning in while you talk? Whether it's a subtle lean-in, or even a full court press, proximity to you is a yes!

2.) Gauge his eye contact: If he is into you, he'll hold his gaze steady. Make sure you make eye contact back to let him know you are interested too!

3.) Does he want to be near you? If you are on a date and find that he is taking every opportunity to touch you, whether it be a brush on your knee, or even your elbow, he probably likes you.

4.) He is mirroring you: When a man mirrors your actions, it is definitely subconscious, and a strong sign that is interested in you. Notice that he is copying your gestures at the table.

5.) He wants to relate to you: Men and women have to find common ground between them, so often if a man is interested in you, he will WANT to find more ways to relate to you. He will also share things with you -- his experiences, his opinions. In his way, he can check in to see if you are compatible and find out if  you are a match.

  • ESPN must love the Packers

    Posted by Rachel Leigh

Each year, ESPN ranks every team in the NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB to see which fans have it the best and the worst. They look at how good the team is, how likeable their players are, and how much tickets cost. Here are the BEST teams to root for.

!.) Oklahoma City Thunder, NBA: The Heat beat them in the finals, but then came in 31st.

2.) GREEN BAY PACKERS, NFL: They finished first in "stadium experience."

3.) San Antonio Spurs, NBA: They had the best owner, best coach, most likeable players and were most fan-friendly team.

Here are the WORST teams to root for:

1.) Toronto Maple Leafs, NHL: They have the least affordable tickets.

2.) Sacramento Kings, NBA: Their owners, the Maloof brothers, were the worst in ALL sports.

3.) Charolette Bobcats, NBA: THey have the worst coach and front office in sports.

The Chicago Bears came in 21st and the Minnesota Vikings came in 26th just based off all the NFL teams. I would have to agree with their ratings!

Green Bay Packers Ratings were as followed for:

    Last year's rank: 1

    Title track: 2

    Ownership: 3

    Coaching: 9

    Players: 4

    Fan relations: 3

    Affordability: 15

    Stadium experience: 1

    Bang for the buck: 6

Just so you know the Green Bay Packers were rated #1 in the NFL!

  • Aaron Rodgers could end up in 49ers jersey on Monday...

    Posted by Rachel Leigh

A-Rod has agreed to a deal that could land him in a 49ers jersey on Monday morning and it's all thanks to the guys from Boyz II Men.

Rodgers and the R&B legends are actually friends and recently, Aaron asked the guys if they would sing the National Anthem at the season opener at Lambeau Field on Sunday. But, before the guys would agree to sing, Nathan Morris (the guy with the really deep voice) had one major demand.

Morris proposed a friends bet to the QB if the 49ers win, Rodgers MUST wear an Alex Smith 49ers jersey for the remainder of the week. If the Packers win than Morris has a greed to wear a Rodgers jersey.

Obviously A-Rod accepted the challenge because Boyz II Men will be singing the National Anthem at the game Sunday.

Who do you think is going to win, Packers or 49ers?

I have to go with my boys...THE PACKERS

  • What makes your bartender angry?

    Posted by Rachel Leigh

For anyone that hasn't worked at a bar, here are the 26 things that your bartender won't tell you according to Reader's Digest:

    1. Yell, whistle, or wave money and I'm going to make you wait. Make eye contact and smile, and I'll come over as soon as I can. Know what you want and have your money ready. Don't create a traffic jam.

    2. Start a tab. If I swipe your card five times this evening, that’s five times as much paperwork I have to do at 4 a.m.

    3. You want a drink made 'strong?' Then order a double-for double the price.

    4. Liquor sales in bars and restaurants were down 2.2 percent last year. Even beer sales are slow. But people scrimp on food first, drinks second.

    5. A lot of bars have comp tabs, which allows me to give away drinks. It's smart business and helps build a base of regulars.

    6. Bars that don't have regulars (in hotels, airports) have started using wireless gadgets that measure how much is poured and automatically ring up each shot. They're meant to prevent over pouring and to cut losses, but I don't like them-neither do customers.

    7. If your tipping guideline is still 'a buck a drink,' listen closely: That doesn't fly if you order a $12 cocktail. Tip at least 15 percent.

    8. At some bars, the sliced fruit garnishes sit out until they’re gone, sometimes for days. Munch accordingly.

    9. The smoothest guys compliment a woman, then walk away-it's very nonthreatening.

    10. I have the police on speed dial, and I never hesitate to call.

    11. Don't order a round of drinks after last call. Last call applies to everyone-even you.

    12. Some of us get a cut from the cab company when we call a taxi for a tipsy patron. Not that I've ever done that, of course.

    13. Last week, a couple had a little too much and got into a dumb argument, then asked me to choose the 'winner' of the fight. There isn't a tip big enough to get me involved in that situation!

    14.
If I cut you off, don’t argue.
If anything, you should apologize if you’ve made a scene.

    15.
Get a room.
The more you make out with your date, the closer you are to being cut off.

    16.
I've heard it all.
One guy told me I had the worst smile he‘d ever seen. I found out that he thinks a girl won‘t remember him unless he puts her down. I guess it worked; I‘m telling you this story three weeks later.

    17.
Think tending bar isn’t a real career?
You’re wrong. The craft of bartending is coming back, and some of us are even called “mixologists” now.

    18.
I love sharing what I know.
If it’s not busy, ask me about the history of drink or the latest cocktail I’ve invented. You’ll learn something new.

    19.
 I like a sophisticated palate.
You’ll win points with me if you request gin in your martini.

    20.
 My knees hurt.
Bar mats prevent slipping, but I really like them for the cushioning. I use sole inserts in my shoes, too.

    21.
I can tell if your date is going well or not.
And I notice if you bring in a new date every week.

    22.
Everyone should bartend a few nights in his life.
You learn so much about people.

    23.
I'm not a piece of meat.
If you’re going to hit on me all night, at least leave a big tip.

    24.
 It happens every time.
The songs you line up on the jukebox will play right as you’re leaving.

    25.
I do more than mix drinks.
I love being your psychiatrist-matchmaker-entertainer-friend. Otherwise, I wouldn’t tend bar.

    26.
 Please, take a cab.

  • Guys do not read!

    Posted by Rachel Leigh

I am a typical woman and I do not like my hair color the same all the time. I like change so I change it up. Thanks to Pinterest I am finding more ideas on how to do my hair and next week I am putting one of the pictures to the test! I'll do a before and after shot and hopefully my hair stylist gets it close!

One bad thing about getting your hair done, it costs a TON of money. Over a lifetime, according to a British survey done by Tresemme, an average woman spends over $50,000 on their hair over a lifetime. That is so crazy!

Each year woman spend and average of....

    - $160 on shampoos and conditioners

    - $120 on styling products

    - $520 for haircuts

    - $330 for color

    - PLUS some women have extensions, which are very expensive!

Women also spend at least an average of 53 minutes to an hour a week on washing, blow drying and styling our hair. That does not seem like a lot but by the age 65 we will have spent more than 7 months of our lives on our hair!!! HOLY COW!

Do not tell your man about this! They would probably tell us to shave our hair hahaha! I probably scared some of you now. What you could do though is just leave your hair long! I get my hair cut maybe two to three times a year so at least I know I don't spend that much on my hair :)

Here's what I'm doing to my hair next week! I am only doing the color because I do not what short hair!

  • What you should do at the end of every work day!

    Posted by Rachel Leigh

Here’s a list of the six things you should do at the end of every work day. It’s mostly about organizing stuff so you’re stressed out the next morning.

1.)    Evaluate Your To-Do List. Obviously that means you should already be making a to-do list every day. If there’s anything on it that you could do in five minutes, do it so the next morning won’t be as hectic.

2.)    Start a New To-Do List. You’ll add to it and update it the next day, but according to one expert, it’s important to give yourself a head start whenever you can.

3.)    Reflect on Your Day. Even if it’s just for 30 seconds, try to think of something good that happened or something you achieved. It’ll help you leave work on a positive note, and hopefully in a slightly better mood

4.)    Clean Up. Meaning your desk and anything in the kitchen you’re responsible for. That way you’ll feel like you have a fresh start when you come in the next day.

5.)    Say Goodbye. It only takes a second, and helps you stay friendly with your co-workers. Nobody likes the person who just gets up and leaves every day without saying anything.

6.)    Don’t Take Your Work Stress with You. Chances are you have plenty of stress to deal with at home too, so do your best to forget about work once you leave the office.

If you have a desk job, try turning off the email alerts on your cell phone so you won’t check them all night. Just make sure you tell your co-workers you’re doing it, so they know they’ll have to call if they need to get in touch.
