Santa's Elves were all over me this morning. Not awkward at all.
THE FASTEST MAN ON ALL FOURS _ Ladies and gentlemen, there is a new
Guinness World record for running 100 meters... on all fours. Yes, that is an actual thing. The record now belongs to Kenichi Ito of Japan, who ran the 100 meters in 17.47 seconds, or almost double the amount of time it would have taken to do it normal. Ito has been perfecting his technique, which is based on the African Patas monkey, for nine years. NINE. YEARS. This is not just a hobby. This is a lifestyle choice. Now watch the record being set.
These guys made a special trip just to play for us and our listeners.....they were awesome!
An old YouTube video called "Haunted Toaster" is getting a bunch of hits all of a sudden. It's from a 1984 "Today" show segment about crazy tabloid stories. One of them featured a woman who claimed her toaster was possessed and writing the phrase "Satan Lives" on all her bread. But it was obvious that she was the one writing it, because the letters were actually carved in. Here's a clip from the report. Watch for the Fireball...it will scare the bejesus out of you!
Take a look at some of the dumbest individuals you will ever see. For some reason they thought it would be a good idea to post this. Walmart didn't feel the same way. It's hard to supervise stupidity.

If you haven't seen it yet, a single-engine plane clipped an SUV while it was landing at a regional airport in Roanoke, Texas on Saturday. (--About 30 miles outside Dallas.) And the pilot's wife got it on video. No one was hurt, and apparently it was the driver of the SUV's fault, because you should always look both ways for planes?? The pilot . . . who's a month away from getting his pilot's license . . . says he decided to give up flying.
In the wake of Hurricane Sandy, many are looking for ways to donate supplies to the victims throughout New York and New Jersey. Thanks to a trio from Brooklyn, there’s an virtual wish list for donations. John Heggestuen, Alex Nordenson, and Katherine Dolan are not getting married, but they’re taking advantage of Amazon’s Wedding Registry to create a shopping list for specific items needed at a local relief outpost. The three are in touch with the Occupy Sandy team who will receive the shipped items and organize daily deliveries to priority response areas. They update the registry as they get updates on what is needed most in affected areas.

There's new time-lapse video on YouTube of Hurricane Sandy hitting New York. It's two minutes long, and spans about two days. (--Sunday night through Tuesday morning.) And about halfway through, you see most of Manhattan's power suddenly go out. Other than that, it's a lot of wind, clouds, and rain.
LANCE ARMSTRONG and Nike teamed up for a commercial back in 2001 that takes on new meaning now. It shows Lance training, while he speaks in voiceover about how he's gotten to where he is. It starts with Lance saying, quote, "This is my body, and I can do whatever I want to it." Then at the end, he says, quote, "Everybody wants to know what I'm on. What am I on? I'm on my bike busting my ass six hours a day. What are you on?" Turns out, it was more than just the bike!
