There is a new web resource out there for anyone who likes to grow their own vegetables. It was created by Iowa State University and the Leopold Center for Sustainable Agriculture, and it's called the Sustainable Vegetable Production website . The website is designed to share results from research on strategies that enhance vegetable production and cropping systems.
Click here to read up on topics like transplant production, season extension, cover cropping, plasticulture, biochar, soil biology, nutrient management and food quality aspects. There are also listing for upcoming events, research videos and more. The website's purpose is to help growers reduce input costs, improve crop and soil health, and create cropping system efficiencies.
